the anatomy of an m&m

i just sliced my fingertip open on a piece of binding metal from a legal folder.  it hurt like hell for the first 30 seconds.  this is my first injury (not counting bruises) acquired in a surprisingly long time.

so when i went to the company kitchen upstairs to get a band aid, i could only find 1 really old circular one (maybe a 1" diameter).  i hate these kinds of band aids.  unfortunately my finger was bleeding so much i didn't have a choice so it put it on my finger.  but then it kept peeling off, so i had to tape it to my finger.

to compound this already frustrating occurrence, this is all taking place on my right pointer finger.  unquestionably the most important of them all. 


no this is not my biggest problem... it's just the most immediate.  and physically uncomfortable.


also to be noted!  i got my ticket to see tv on the radio @ the trocadero in philly!!  it's on friday, april 20th!  get your ticket too!  (this means you, especially, rick!)

is there no way to change my username?  i've been over the sticky_sweet thing for years now.  i have a feeling i'll need to delete this account in order to make the change. blahh.

i was looking at the va state police online registry of sexual offenders.  it was pretty creepy.  there are a good number of them within a 10 mile radius of my house.  most of them were for child molestation but there were a few aggrevated sexual assaults and rapes.  assholes.  how can you do such a thing to a kid?!  and what's more, one of the guys was pretty good looking!  hah!  how fucked up is that?  i could be out and about, spot a guy, take interest in him and never even know he was arrested for molesting a kid back in the 90s.  creeeeepy, i tell you.

in other news:  sleeping alone kind of sucks.  it would be practically unbearable, but fortunately i'm unconscious for the majority of it.  i'm a big fan of spooning and cuddling.  i'm cuddle deprived.  don't worry - i'm not going to throw one of those ultra gay cuddle parties.  hey!  let's go pay $30 to snuggle up with strangers!  oh!  or we could just go snuggle with homeless people in dc for free!  they could at least appreciate the shared body heat!  geeze.

marx isn't even that tedious of a read...  i think it's just the fact that i have to read that's debilitating my motivation.  aahhhck.

1.  I am so tired of being sick.  This shit is annoying.  And I'm not even like bed-ridden sick.  I'm congested sick.  Fuck this.  I wish I could just poke a hole, wherever necessary, and drain all this shit out so I can get back up on my feet.  I feel like crap because I haven't been able to exercise too.  And whyyyy can't I exercise?  Because I'm sick!  Bahh!

2.  Work is bringin me down-uh.  My boss has taken away the duties and responsibilities I've been handling (on a part time basis) for the past year.  He's replaced it with mindless, repetitive, eyeball-gorging boring work.  The work I'll be doing is in an office downstairs, where it's cold and lonely.  The lack of noise and distraction will be nice, but considering the work I'll be doing I think all distractions will be welcome.  He says I can do school work while I'm working - which is very possible.  If that works out then I guess I'll be happy.  As of now it sucks though.  I'm about to go get "trained" for my new responsibilities now.  Hoo-fuckin-ray.

3.  Steeler football starts in a few hours!!  I am pumped, although I don't think I'm doing anything fabulously fantastic to watch the game.  My cousin said she's making spinach dip at my house so... I'm happy to stay there.  I like me some spinach dip.

4.  New order of business for the AOF (if you don't know what that is then clearly you're not cool enough).  The AOF will soon be starting a weekly (or nearly weekly) dinner and a movie night.  AOF members are smart enough to not need further explanation.  I think it will be taking place at Bj's house.  Fun.

hey lj world.  much like in real life, our friendship was strong but then i disappeared for a bit.  that's just my thing, i suppose.

i'm super bored at work right now.  today is free lunch day though.  i have my delicious smoked turkey cafe sandwich and vegetable soup from panera here in front of me on my desk.  i wish i had remembered to mention no onions.  oh well.  apparently panera has this onion bread.  ew, man - how much sicker can you make a peice of bread?  onions should be used sparingly at all times.

while i'm at it, i think i'll say a few more things about food.

first things first.  tomatoes are some of the coolest fruits on the planet.  so good.
next.  white condiments, with the exception of cream cheese, are scary.  tartar sauce, horseradish, mayo, etc.  keep them away from me.
terciary thoughts:  i bet tyrannasaurus rex was tasty fuckin dinner.  can you imagine?  mmmm... i can.

i have a round cactus with three pink flowers on top of it.  it's really cute but dangerous - which makes me like it even more.  so here's the thing... should i water it at all?  ever?  also, i'm about to move to an office with a door (yaaay!) but without a window (booo!)  does my cactus need light?  i know it can go without water but light too?  sounds like a death recipe to me.

so my classes seem to be going well.  it's only been one week but my teachers all seem well spoken, well educated and all those other things that you look for in a good professor - the likes of which i haven't particularly seen neither at nova or at mason up until this week.

ok, there are definately too many onions on this sandwich.  can't complain though.  it's free lunch!  byaaa!

Hi there. I'm back from Germany. My trip was great, I had lots of fun. I'll definately need to go back with either friends or at least some family members who are closer in age so I can enjoy myself in the evenings. Unfortunately my parents were done for the day around 8 or 9 pm, so I found myself wandering around a lot.
